Three skylights above a modern kitchen

Home  /  Work we've done

Every one of these rooms used to need the light on at midday.

Skylights, roof windows and ventilation across Ipswich, Springfield, Redbank and greater Brisbane — on tile, tin and Colorbond, from single units to whole-house jobs.

Before & after

Drag the line. Watch the room change.

Same rooms, same angles, straight off Bryce's phone. Drag the yellow handle, or tab to it and use the arrow keys.

Kitchens & living areas

The rooms you actually live in.

Kitchens and lounges get the biggest change for the money — most of these homes had one dark end that needed a light on all day.

Raked & cathedral ceilings

Timber-lined ceilings are our favourite job.

A raked ceiling means a short, straight shaft and a huge amount of light. It also means the trim has to be perfect, because there's nowhere to hide a bad cut.

Bathrooms, hallways & stairwells

The rooms with no windows.

Internal bathrooms, robes, hallways and stairwells are the best value skylights in the house — they go from lights-on-all-day to not needing a switch at all.

On the roof

The part you'll never see.

This is where a skylight job is won or lost. Every unit gets a flashing matched to the roof profile and the pitch — not a generic kit bent to fit.

Behind the scenes

Framed, sheeted, ready to paint.

Most installers open the roof and leave the ceiling to somebody else. We frame the shaft, sheet it and hand it back square — so the only thing left for you is a coat of paint.

Storm damage

Smashed skylight after a storm? We make it watertight the same day.

A recent savage storm at Redbank Qld saw my skylight smashed — Bryce came out within hours of my call and secured it with sheeting to keep the weather out and was back the next day to fit a replacement part.
